Friday evening. Yeaaah! But unfortunately I have to spend it as a Local IT Support guy, fixing our home computer, that seems to have crashed or being attacked by virus or something.

"Windows XP cannot find browseui.dll"

None of my attempts to run repair activities have been succesful, so now it's a complete reinstallation of XP that I'm doing. No fun losing lots of stuff but but ... that's life, just f-cking technology.

I'm not a very patient IT user normally and these kind of activities are just soooo boring and even if you manage to get it working yourself, you have lost some good time + lots of nice settings and files. At other times I've got help from Victor to fix all kind of computer things. He's a real pro, working with ADSL/broadband internet support for Tele2.

I'm happy to work with other things than these kind of hands-on IT shit nowadays. Even when I have to call the Helpdesk at work, I often get frustrated due to stress on my own side. The poor service technican is most often very friendly & helpful, but all kind of small incidents for me as a user can often create a bad mood, since they have decided to occur at the wrong times. Soon we probably have to get used to have an Indian technican helping us. That will be even more interesting.
